Vermiculture (Worm composting) Seva was carried by AADM at the Bhatpada, Virar, on Sunday, 25th October 2026.

During the Seva, Disaster Management Volunteers (DMVs) separated ready vermicompost and collected earthworms from the pits. A total of 1,100 kg of nutrient-rich vermicompost was harvested.

Through the natural activity of earthworms, vermiculture transforms biodegradable organic waste into valuable compost. This eco-friendly practice helps in waste management, improves soil quality, and promotes organic farming.
